Job summary

Qualified candidates will have an Associate's degree or technical apprenticeship, 5+ years in a tool room with at least 2 years in supervision, and strong CAD/CAM/tooling design skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or a skilled trade apprenticeship.
• 5+ years experience in a tool room, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting various machine tools (e.g., CNC mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs).
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology.
• Experience with tool and die repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for tooling design and programming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tool room, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
• Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Supervise and train tool room personnel, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures for tools, fixtures, and gauges.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for tools and spare parts, optimizing stock levels.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to develop and implement new tooling solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
