Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is actively seeking a Tool Room Supervisor in Allendale, MI to lead tool room operations, supervise technicians, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across tooling processes.

This role requires strong knowledge of machining, metrology, GD&T, and experience with preventive maintenance for tooling and equipment, including CNC and manual machines, in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a tool room environment.
• Proven experience in supervising and leading a team of technicians.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and metrology.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting manual and CNC machinery.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs for tool room equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety, quality, and production processes.
• Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Oversee the inventory of tools, spare parts, and raw materials, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for tooling to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards within the tool room.
• Coordinate with production and engineering departments to support new product development and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
