Job summary

Berks Technical Institute, part of Ancora Education, is seeking a Tool Room Assistant in Wyomissing, PA. You will manage tool room security, check-in/out tools to students and faculty, and keep inventory accurate.

Responsibilities include maintaining tools in working order, assisting with requisitioning new tools, and shipping/receiving inventory while ensuring loss prevention. This role requires a diploma in a related trades field and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related trades field from an accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Issues and receives all tools/consumables to students and faculty.
• Verify all tools are accounted for before and after each shift.
• Notify instructors and the supervisor of discrepancies in the check-in/out process.
• Maintain all tools in working order, repairing and servicing broken/worn tools when appropriate.
• Assist with requisitioning and acquiring new tools and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
• Keep the tool room clean and well-organized at all times.
• Responsible for shipping and receiving of inventory, equipment, and consumables.
• Maintain effective loss prevention systems, ensuring the security of all assigned company assets.
• Other duties as assigned
