Job summary

Ancora Education's Miller Motte College campus is seeking a Tool Room Assistant to secure the tool room inventory and manage check-in/out for students and faculty. You will keep tools available, in good condition, and ensure accurate records.

Responsibilities include verifying tool counts, updating inventory, repairing or replacing worn items, and assisting with new tool acquisitions while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related trades field from an accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of tools.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Issues and receives tools/consumables to students and faculty.
• Verify tools are accounted for before and after each shift.
• Notify instructors of discrepancies in the check-in/out process.
• Maintain tools in working order and replace nonfunctional items.
• Assist with requisitioning and acquiring new tools and equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
• Keep the tool room clean and organized at all times.
• Responsible for shipping and receiving of inventory and equipment.
• Maintain loss prevention for company assets.
