Delphinus Engineering LLC in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Laborer/Tool Room Attendant to manage our tool room operations and support daily shop activities. You will ensure custody, control, and maintenance of tools and equipment, oversee calibration records, and assist project teams with equipment needs.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and able to work with project managers, technicians, and external vendors.

Formación

• Must have work experience in tool room operations or inventory management.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification is essential.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use standard software.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain custody, control, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Receive and inspect tools returned from project teams.
• Ensure tools are safe, calibrated when required, and properly guarded.
• Maintain secure storage for calibrated equipment and track calibration status.
• Purchase new tools and initiate surveys to replace damaged items.
• Conduct regular inventory and update status for tool movements.
• Coordinate calibration with approved labs and track NAVSEA METRL/METPRO intervals.
• Support shop and production teams with equipment needs and troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, organized tool room and participate in continuous improvement programs.
