Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking an experienced Small Tools / Equipment Manager to oversee daily tool room operations, control and distribution of small tools and construction equipment, and ensure compliance with lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures across active job sites. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of tool room/equipment management experience in industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of small tools, equipment, inventory control, and preventive maintenance.
• Proficiency with lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and safety regulations.
• Experience with inventory tracking systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee day-to-day tool room operations, including issuance, return, tracking, and storage of small tools and construction equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of transactions.
• Implement and enforce lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and safety standards.
• Coordinate inspections, maintenance, calibration, and repair of tools and equipment.
• Monitor tool and equipment usage to minimize losses, downtime, and replacement costs.
• Forecast equipment needs with project management, field supervision, and procurement teams.
• Oversee equipment staging, distribution, and mobilization for construction job sites.
• Conduct routine audits of tool room and inventory to ensure accuracy and identify improvements.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of tools and equipment.
• Provide leadership and training to tool room attendants and support personnel.
• Assist with vendor support and rental equipment management.
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, utilization, maintenance schedules, and replacement planning.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room and storage areas.
