Gentex Corporation is seeking a Tool Room Assistant to support and document the tool room workflow, manage outside shop collaborations, and handle incoming requests. The role involves tracking measurements, creating purchase requisitions, and coordinating with engineers and the project team.

You will develop supplier relationships, pursue discounts, and ensure accurate records while maintaining safety and confidentiality. Proficiency in inventory systems and CAD-related questions is valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with inventory tracking systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recordkeeping.
• Must be available for overtime as needed.

Responsabilités

• Document Tool Room measurements and tracking.
• Order components from outside shops.
• Create and resolve purchase requisitions for tool room orders.
• Answer questions about 3D CAD drawings from the supply base.
• Track orders and coordinate with the project management team.
• Deliver completed work to internal customers.
• Develop relationships with suppliers.
• Work with suppliers for discounts and bulk purchases.
• Research pricing and availability of components for engineers.
