Primary Function

The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for managing all tools, equipment, and shop assets, including security, inventory control, and adherence to company procedures. We are hiring three attendants to work different shifts as follows:

  • Monday through Wednesday 6AM to 6:30PM
  • Thursday through Saturday 6AM to 6:30PM
  • Sunday Night through Tuesday Night 6PM to 6:30AM

Essential Functions

  • Maintain the tool room and equipment in an organized manner.
  • Enforce FOD and Tool Control programs across the facility.
  • Ensure all equipment is tracked using the asset control database.
  • Assist with the consumable asset program to support operations.
  • Regularly inspect equipment for serviceability and maintainability.
  • Promote safe operations throughout the facility.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and ensure safety.
  • Control tool room operations, issue tools, HazMat, and supplies to personnel.
  • Identify and procure shortfalls, actively managing tool serviceability.
  • Follow all company procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist with preparing for semi-annual third-party audits.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, especially Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new software.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, regulations, and manuals.
  • Capable of completing reports and correspondence.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle practical issues with limited standardization.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for working with management and staff.
  • Proficiency with office equipment.
  • Ability to follow processes and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent work ethic.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Judgment to make standard operational decisions.
  • Willingness to learn and understand company policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of standard practices in the field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Secret Clearance.
