Job summary

Nebraska Aluminum Castings is looking for a Tool Room Assistant to support the tool & die and plastics injection molding processes. This integral role involves cleaning, maintaining, and assembling tooling, as well as operating manual equipment like milling machines and CNC machines. The position is on the second shift from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. with some flexibility, and includes a $500 signing bonus after six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred; able to work in a hot environment.
• Candidates with experience in tool and die will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Assist Tool Room in altering and maintaining tooling.
• Clean and repair dies and molds as needed.

Job description

As a Tool Room Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting the tool & die and plastics injection molding processes. Your role will involve assisting our Tool Room in altering, repairing, cleaning, maintaining, and assembling various types of tooling, injection mold dies, tools, fixtures, and gauges within our facility. Other responsibilities include cleaning dies, molds, and tools, performing bench and machine operations to construct, alter, or repair the die‑casting molds and dies, operating manual equipment such as milling machines, CNC machines, engine lathes, grinders, and more, using precision instruments and blueprints to verify conformance of parts to customer specifications, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Other details

• Forklift experience and capable of working in a hot work environment.
• No experience or post-secondary education is required for this position; however, candidates with experience in tool and die will be prioritized.
• This position is available on the second shift from 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. on Monday through Thursday. There is some flexibility on hours. Some overtime may be required Fridays.
• This position includes a signing bonus of $500 receivable in full at the completion of 6 months of employment!
