Description

2nd Shift Hours: 1:00pm-9:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm (some schedule flexibility allowed)

Responsibilities

• Setup and removal of molds in production equipment in order to perform necessary maintenance and PM activities
• Program and operate all tool room equipment
• Make alterations to existing molds, fixtures, and tooling in support of design changes
• Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills, surface grinders, and manual lathes
• Maintain a safe working environment in the tool room for others conducting work in the tool room
• Group Leader responsibilities as assigned
• Mold repairs/maintenance: Mold and die disassembly and reassembly to support changeovers or repairs
• Coordinate and track mold tool repairs through CMMS (eMaint) and participate in RCFA on damaged tools from production
• Continuous Improvement - Reduce cost: Train and mentor, surface problems, utilize PDCA to solve problems and drive improvements, 5S

Education

• Journeyman Tool and Die maker, or 7 plus years experience in a tool and die or mold shop
• Knowledge and use of CNC controls

Experience

• 2-4 years experience in machining operations/building fixtures
• Basic computer skills
• Experience/Exposure to Injection Molds is a plus
