Job summary

Wagner-Smith Equipment Co. is seeking an assembler to construct, wire, and plumb new and used equipment per engineering drawings. You will install components and test systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 3–6 months of related experience, with preference for construction industry experience. This role emphasizes safety with PPE and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three to six months related experience or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, and plumb new and used equipment per engineering drawings.
  • Wire trailer electrical systems including lights and brakes.
  • Plumb pneumatic brake systems on larger units.
  • Install hydraulic components and plumb hydraulic circuits per engineering drawings.
  • Install electronic components and wire electronic circuits per engineering drawings.
  • Set pressures on hydraulic circuits and verify parameters for electronic systems.
  • Perform system operation checks and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Operate equipment to test functionality and spool rope/cable onto reels when applicable.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Wash units after final inspection.
  • Assist in maintenance of rental fleet when necessary.
  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules.
  • Keep the tools and work area clean and organized.
  • Keep the supervisor aware of parts and inventory used so they may be replaced.
  • Complete applicable maintenance forms and records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
