Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Grand Haven manufacturers to identify a skilled Tool Maker. This role focuses on fabricating and repairing dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges, while interpreting blueprints and GD&T to ensure tight tolerances.

You will set up and operate a range of manual tools and precision equipment, and troubleshoot tooling issues in daily production. Candidates should have 5+ years of Tool Maker or related experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years as Tool Maker or similar.
• Experience operating manual lathes, mills and grinders.
• Ability to read blueprints,schematics and GD&T.
• Experience with various metals and alloys.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM.
• Interpret blueprints and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform precision measurements using inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues during production.
• Select materials and heat treatments for tooling.
• Maintain and repair production tooling for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

Recommended Qualifications
