Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, located in East Longmeadow, MA, is seeking a Tool Maker to join our team. You will perform a wide range of skilled duties to lay out, construct, repair and modify tool machines, with guidance from senior Tool Makers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Tool room environment.
• Tool and Die repair experience is required or highly desirable.
• Able to read complicated drawings, specifications, tables and precision measuring instruments.
• Stamping/Progressive Tool and Die experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work, perform bench and machine operations on tool parts.
• Set up and operate tool room machines and perform necessary operations.
• Make mathematical calculations and ensure tolerances per engineering specs.
• Collaborate with Engineering to design and improve tool and machine designs.
