Job summary

  • Advanced systems and data analysis capabilities, including SAP and Excel, with experience validating large data sets and driving issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provides tool-level cost accounting support for semiconductor tool installation projects, tracking material spending, commitments, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Partners with procurement, vendor management, cost controls, construction teams, and project leadership for financial transparency.
  • Tracks material commitments, purchase orders, receipts, and installation-related expenditures by tool and package.
  • Audits installed materials against procurement records, field execution status, and approved scope to ensure costs are accurate and properly assigned.
  • Investigates and resolves cost discrepancies and allocation issues with key stakeholders.
  • Manages accruals, cost allocations, financial adjustments, and month-end reconciliation activities for forecasting and reporting.
  • Leads or supports spending reconciliations at milestones like area turnover and project closeout.
  • Identifies emerging cost risks and prepares cost summaries for leadership review.

Pay Rate: $45+ DOE

Position Type: Full Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides tool-level cost accounting support for semiconductor tool installation projects, ensuring accurate tracking of material spending, commitments, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Partners with procurement, vendor management, cost controls, construction teams, and project leadership to maintain financial transparency and reporting accuracy.
  • Tracks material commitments, purchase orders, receipts, and installation-related expenditures by individual tool and installation package.
  • Audits installed materials against procurement records, field execution status, and approved scope to verify costs are accurate, complete, and properly assigned.
  • Investigates and resolves cost discrepancies, mismatches, and allocation issues in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Manages accruals, cost allocations, financial adjustments, and month-end reconciliation activities to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Leads or supports spending reconciliations at key project milestones, including area turnover, construction completion, and project closeout.
  • Identifies emerging cost risks, supports corrective actions, and prepares cost summaries and documentation for leadership review and decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and cost management skills with the ability to accurately track commitments, actuals, accruals, forecasts, and variances.
  • Experience translating procurement, field execution, and project data into clear cost reporting, financial insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across finance, procurement, project controls, construction, and project management teams in complex project environments.
  • Advanced systems and data analysis capabilities, including SAP and Excel, with experience validating large data sets, identifying discrepancies, and driving issue resolution.
  • Bachelor's degreeand 3+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting, project controls, procurement support, financial reconciliation,construction cost management, or other related discipline.
Preferences:
  • Experience supporting semiconductor fabs, tool installations, advanced manufacturing, and other large-scale industrial capital projects.
  • Knowledge of construction cost management systems, procurement processes, change management workflows, and project closeout requirements.
  • Proven ability to reconcile material, equipment, and installation costs at the tool, system, area, or contractor level while ensuring accurate invoice validation and accrual management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present cost performance, forecast changes, and financial risks to both project teams and executive leadership.
Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds.
