Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Tool Coordinator to support field operations by ensuring tools and equipment are available, tracked, and delivered where needed. You will coordinate purchasing, inventory, repairs, and deliveries while maintaining safe, organized warehouse and facility operations.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and knowledge of tools and equipment, with the ability to respond quickly to field needs and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Tools Department operations and ensure tools are available and tracked.
• Purchase expendable tools and supplies while monitoring pricing and inventory.
• Inspect and coordinate repairs to maximize tool life and reduce costs.
• Evaluate new tools and methods to improve efficiency for field teams.
• Review incoming tools for quality and readiness for deployment.
• Fulfill tool requests from field leaders and technicians promptly.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking records and inventory adjustments.
• Generate reports to ensure accountability and efficiency.
• Conduct regular audits of tool inventories at facilities and sites.
• Coordinate tool movements between shops, yards, and project locations.
• Handle internal deliveries and maintain delivery schedules for field support.
• Manage tool repair vendors and expedite external repairs as needed.
• Maintain purchasing records and process orders per procedures.
• Assist with yard, warehouse, and facility organization.
• Manage storage of chemicals, lubricants, and waste oil safely.
• Support facility maintenance activities as required.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
