100Hires, Inc. seeks a skilled Tool & Diemaker to support production tooling, tool fabrication, and maintenance. This role involves reading blueprints, GD&T, and working with progressive stamping environments.

Expect 1st & 2nd shifts with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance to Connecticut. Candidates should be ready to train apprentices and participate in Lean initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• Journeyman certificate or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with progressive stamping and tooling.
• Familiar with ISO quality standards (ISO13485 & AS9100) and SPC.
• Able to operate forklifts/overhead cranes and handle tooling safely.

• Service production tools and perform pre-run maintenance to ensure production readiness.
• Fabricate tools, fixtures, and gauges as directed by supervisor or Senior Tool & Diemaker.
• Assist in training apprentices.
• Document Tool History and Setup information.
• Alert supervisor when machine or tool maintenance is needed.
• Collaborate with Senior Tool & Diemaker on new tools in production areas.
• Assist in standardizing tooling component inventory and tooling projects.
• Support Lean projects and other duties as required; overtime as needed.

Equivalent.Assist in Component / Tooling Fabrication, Troubleshooting Tooling and Repairing Tooling. Set-up.Ability to read - understand blueprints and GD&T as needed for production manufacturing.Must be able to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, etc. in order to lift, move and manipulate tools and loads.Working knowledge and practical experience with Progressive stamping background requiredWorking knowledge of ISO quality standards and practical experience with the use of SPC in a production environment.Familiar with Medical and Aerospace (ISO13485 & AS9100) working environments.An understanding of Manufacturing Engineering - Quality Engineering - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.)Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.Self-starter with strong work ethic / production oriented.Physical RequirementsVisual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from position-to-position.Ability to lift up to 35lbs unassisted.| || |The above description reflects a general outline considered necessary to describe the principal function of the job identified.
