Job summary

BY Recruiting in Denver is seeking a Tool and Die Supervisor to lead the toolroom. You will supervise, train and mentor a team of skilled toolmakers and ensure tooling is ready for production; you will also step in on the machines when needed.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, collaborative problem solving and continuous improvement across tooling for new product launches.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years hands-on tool and die experience.
• Journeyman card or completed apprenticeship.
• Experience leading or supervising a toolroom team.
• Strong background building and maintaining stamping dies.
• Hands-on skill with lathes, mills, grinders, machining centers and EDM.
• CAD skills and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of toolmakers who build, maintain and modify dies, fixtures and other production tooling.
• Schedule, prioritize and assign toolroom work so jobs are done right and on time.
• Keep tooling ready for production, with backup plans in place.
• Diagnose and fix production problems related to tooling.
• Drive tooling improvements and support new product launches.
• Keep tooling maintained to spec and help plan new toolroom equipment.
• Partner with production, quality and engineering.
• Promote safety and coach team members as they grow.
