Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc in Washington, DC is looking for skilled individuals to engage in tool and die fabrication, including fabrication and repair, machine operation, and blueprint analysis. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience and proficiency in interpreting engineering specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of high school/vocational school; completion of an apprentice program is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a tool and die environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, including operative sheets, drawings, and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Construct, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very close tolerances.
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine parts.
• Develop efficient strategies for fabricating designed dies using the most suitable machining resources.
