Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc is seeking experienced Tool and Die Makers for a full-time hourly position in Queens Village, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of related experience and vocational training, and be skilled in reading engineering drawings, troubleshooting, and operating machine tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Construct, alter, and repair a variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Set up and operate machine tools like lathes and milling machines.
• Read specifications, engineering blueprints, and tool orders.
• Prepare layout and detail drawings.
• Develop fabrication strategies using suitable machining resources.
• Maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Skills

Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

Strong mathematical and troubleshooting skills

Experience using precision measuring instruments

Knowledge of machine shop practices and operations

Ability to work independently

Education

Vocational school/apprenticeship training
