Job summary

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience to qualify as a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.

Responsibilities

• Plan and make bench layouts of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, etc. holding extremely close tolerances.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final dimension inspections.
• Load, execute, modify, write, and troubleshoot CMM programs.
• Perform routine calibration checks and preventative maintenance on CMM probes and tools.
• Use precision measuring instruments and equipment.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, 3-D models, verbal and written instructions.
• Handle parts manually or with material handling equipment.
