Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development).
• Must have completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• 8 years of experience to qualify as a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.
• U.S. Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and make bench layouts of tools, gages, dies, jigs, fixtures, and attachments, etc., with extremely close tolerances.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final dimension inspections.
• Load, execute, modify, write, and troubleshoot CMM programs.
• Perform routine calibration checks and preventive maintenance on CMM probes and tools.
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., sine bars, height gauges, micrometers, standard gauges).
• Work from blueprints, sketches, 3-D models, verbal and written instructions.
• Handle parts manually or with material handling equipment.
