Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of formal apprenticeship or equivalent training (8 years) to qualify as Journeyman Tool & Die Maker.
• U.S. citizenship required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and make bench layouts of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and attachments with close tolerances.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final dimension inspections.
• Load, modify, write, and troubleshoot CMM programs.
• Perform calibration checks and preventative maintenance on CMM probes and tools.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as sine bars, height gauges, micrometers, and standard gauges.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, or 3‑D models and instructions.
