Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified 4-year apprenticeship in die making and/or tool die making, or eight years of consecutive work in tool/die shop.

Responsibilities

• Build tool and dies from part prints, sketches, references, or instructions.
• Operate tool room machinery safely during build process.
• Repair tool and die components on progressive and manually operated dies; diagnose tooling issues and implement corrections.
• Use TC0 program reports and last piece references to adjust for quality parts.
• Support tryouts and readiness for production after die/tool installations.
• Service die sets in the press room; troubleshoot dies and perform adjustments; document SPC data.
