Qualifications

• High school diploma with a craft apprenticeship or equivalent tool and die experience.

• Ability to read blueprints, models and sketches.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machine shop tools using machining operations and measuring instruments.
• Interpret blueprints, models and sketches to repair or modify tools, dies, jigs, gauges and molds.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, steel fabrication, and welding processes.
• Work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
• Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances of tools.
• Assist in general housekeeping of the department.
• Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
