Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a detail-oriented Tool & Die Maker to fabricate and repair tooling in a hands-on manufacturing environment in Liberty, MO. You will utilize machining equipment, blueprints, and engineering specs to support production and tooling development.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in a tool room with a technical certificate, or 5+ years without a certificate, and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with CNC capabilities and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate in CIMM or related industrial technology preferred.
• 3+ years in a tool room with related certificate.
• 5+ years of tool room experience without a related certificate.
• Experience fabricating, modifiying, and repairing tooling in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Determine materials and machines needed to fabricate parts per specifications.
• Plan layouts and assembly methods for fabrication activities.
• Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
• Set up and operate machines to fabricate components safely.
• Verify parts meet specifications and quality standards.
• Develop prototype parts and tooling solutions as needed.
• Maintain tooling history and document repairs/modifications.
• Polish and refinish parts when required.
• Follow productivity, quality, and safety procedures.
