Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a skilled Tooling Technician to maintain and repair machine shop tools, read blueprints, and modify dies, gauges and molds to required tolerances. You will work independently or in a team, troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality, operate measuring instruments, and uphold safety policies; extended hours may be required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent tool‑and‑die experience; manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma with craft apprenticeship or equivalent tool and die experience.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machine shop tools using machining operations and measuring instruments.
• Read blueprints, models and sketches to repair or modify tools, dies, jigs, gauges and molds.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, steel fabrication, and welding processes.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
• Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances of tools.
• Assist in general housekeeping of the department.
• Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties or special projects as required.
