Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Tool and Die Maker for the Valley, NE location. This full-time role offers 1st shift, 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with compensation starting at $33+ per hour. The position involves reading blueprints, CNC programming, heat treatment, tooling construction, and continuous improvement participation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 3+ years related work experience, or 7+ years of experience.
• Read blueprints and process sheets with accuracy.
• Experience with heat treatment of ferrous materials (hardening).
• Construct and troubleshoot dies, fixtures, tooling and components.
• Demonstrate dimensional precision measurement using micrometers/calipers.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2010 or newer) and basic CNC operations.

Responsibilities

• Heat treat ferrous materials by hardening and surface hardening.
• Design, construct, and troubleshoot dies, fixtures and tooling.
• Read drawings and apply tolerancing and precise measurements.
• Program and operate CNC mills and lathes; perform setups.
• Operate forklifts and perform material handling tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and communicate progress.
