Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an Associate Machine Design Engineer at the Valley Facility (onsite) near Omaha, Nebraska.

This entry-level role supports the design and development of proprietary manufacturing equipment used across global operations, focusing on mechanical design, documentation, testing, and implementation under the guidance of senior engineers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering/machine design.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Suite or 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Support conceptual design and development of proprietary manufacturing equipment under guidance of senior engineers.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings to support design, fabrication, and assembly.
• Assist with design reviews, functional verification, and troubleshooting to identify issues early.
• Support risk assessments identifying mechanical, safety, or usability concerns and assist with mitigations.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, operating instructions, and training materials.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing and fabrication teams during build, installation, and commissioning.
• Assist with equipment testing and performance evaluations and document results.
