Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to build, repair and service stamping and die cast molds. The role offers a compensation of $27.00-$37.00 per hour with a 10% shift differential, and requires you to work with dies, molds, fixtures, and tooling across production lines.

You will read prints, CAD/CAM data, and work with senior Toolmakers on various projects while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Good mechanical ability and safety awareness.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks daily.
• Able to lift up to 33 lbs and handle physical work.
• Comfort with CAD/CAM, MRP and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and service dies, molds, and tooling.
• Repair and modify dies, molds, fixtures and machines for production.
• Collaborate with senior Toolmakers on projects.
• Follow prints, CAD/CAM data and verbal instructions.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to spec.
• Maintain tooling and materials in a cost-conscious manner.
• Keep up with trade developments and quality standards.
• Purchase and maintain personal tools as needed.

About the role

Build, repair and service Stamping and/or Die Cast molds.

Compensation: $27.00-$37.00

Plus 10% Shift Differential!

What you will be doing

• Build and/or Service/Repair dies, tools, and molds, keeping cost in line with requirements.
• Repair, maintain and modify any dies, molds, fixtures, machines, tools, and tooling for production departments.
• Work with senior Toolmakers on various assigned projects.
• Communicate and improvise when necessary tools or equipment are not available.
• Perform assignments involving the field of model making, gage making, and machine building.
• Work from prints, sketches, CAD files or verbal instructions.
• Keep abreast of all the latest developments and advances made within the trade.
• Purchase and maintain all the personal tools necessary to perform the above-described duties.
• Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.

• Able to adequately perform all functions of a Tool and Die Maker 'C' (minimum six years Tool and Die environment)

• Basic P.C. Knowledge in order to either input or gain business or technical data ie; CAD/CAM / MRP / Microsoft Office softwares.
