2nd Shift
Requirements:

Job Details:
Maintain dies and tooling to print specification as required
Sharpen and shim dies to die specifications
Heat treat all cutting tools to print specification
Perform machining duties as specified. Train/Mentor other associates in machining practices as required
Perform preventative maintenance on dies to schedule (TRT)
Properly lace or start a strip in accordance with standard procedure
Perform first and last piece evaluations in accordance with SOP's
Read strips accurately and create TRT when applicable
Repair and maintain dies, components and fixtures using tool & die techniques and tools as required to support production
Evaluate and support press set-ups [inserting/installing die sets, accessories, safety equipment, welding fixtures, tapping, fixtures, etc.]
Design, build and/or refurbish dies and gages as required
Analyze broken or ineffective dies, determine root cause and develop and implement corrective action
Test try out and develop new dies or upgrades as required
Build tool & die components, jigs, fixtures and gages to print specification
Evaluate tools for potential upgrades to reduce maintenance costs and improve production efficiency
