Aerotek in Winder, GA is seeking a Tool and Die Maker for a contract-to-hire role in a steel stamping environment. You will build, repair, and maintain tooling, dies, gauges, and cutting tools and support die setup on presses.

Job Title: Tool and Die Maker
Pay $30-$45
This role focuses on building, maintaining, and repairing jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, gauges, and metal dies used in a steel stamping environment, while also supporting machine maintenance and die setup on presses.
Build, repair, and maintain jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, gauges, and metal dies to support production operations.
Set up and adjust dies on presses to ensure accurate and efficient stamping performance.
Perform preventive maintenance on tooling, presses, and related machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Operate manual grinders, mills, and lathes to fabricate, modify, and repair tooling components as needed.
Perform deburring and finishing work on parts and tooling to meet quality and dimensional specifications.
Troubleshoot and repair dies used in stamping operations, identifying root causes of issues and implementing corrective actions.
Inspect and verify tooling and die performance to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and production requirements.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area while working with machinery and tooling.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement of tooling and equipment performance.
At least 5 years of experience as a tool and die maker in a manufacturing or stamping environment.
Proficiency in tool and die repair, including troubleshooting and correcting die-related issues.
Hands-on experience with stamping operations and die setup on presses.
Strong manual machining skills, including operating lathes, mills, and grinders.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and related machinery.
Experience with deburring and finishing processes for metal components.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely as part of daily work activities.
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working in a steel plant or metal stamping facility.
Familiarity with gauges and precision measuring tools for inspecting tooling and parts.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for diagnosing tooling and equipment issues.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise tooling.
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and support cross-functional needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winder, GA.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $45.00/hr.
