Ideal candidates have 3+ years in tool and die making, can read blueprints and GD&T, and operate mills, lathes and grinders. This 2nd shift role offers $32–$37 per hour and steady work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tool and die making experience, preferably in stamping/manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain progressive dies, stamping dies, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and adjust to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Perform die tryouts, inspections, and repairs as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and tooling specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and height gauges.
• Operate mills, lathes, surface grinders, and drill presses.
• Perform fitting, grinding, machining, and other toolmaking operations to meet specs.
• Inspect tooling components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy.

One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a skilled Tool & Die Maker to support the setup, maintenance, repair, and improvement of dies, molds, fixtures, and other production tooling at their facility in Edgewater Terrace, IL.

Pay Rate: $32/hr $37/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain progressive dies, stamping dies, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and make necessary adjustments to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Perform die tryouts, inspections, and repairs as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and tooling specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and height gauges.
• Operate conventional and toolroom equipment including mills, lathes, surface grinders, and drill presses.
• Perform fitting, grinding, machining, and other toolmaking operations to meet required specifications.
• Inspect tooling components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical training.
• 3+ years of experience in tool and die making, preferably within a stamping or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of progressive dies, stamping dies, fixtures, and production tooling.
• CNC machining or CNC programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with progressive stamping dies and high-volume production tooling.
