Qualifications

The Sort Team Member reports to the Quality Manager or designate. This position is responsible for inspection of product quality to ensure compliance with applicable QMS procedures and customer requirements.

What you get in return… our Tool & Die Maker pay ranges from $32.02 per hour up to $45.04 per hour. Our 3rd shift also offers a 10.0% shift premium. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work from tool room schedule to ensure that production tooling and equipment is ready to meet customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot tooling problems at presses.
  • Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.
  • Work on production equipment when necessary to maintain production.
  • Requisition supplies and spare parts for tool room and dies and keep these areas organized.
  • Maintain clean work areas.
  • Work with outside tradesman as required.
  • Available for overtime as required.
  • Available for training as required.
  • Suggest methods of improvement (Continuous Improvement Plan).
  • Interpret prints for tooling modifications, accuracy, and/or improvements.
  • Work with Engineers to create and/or modify prints to reflect changes.
  • Perform preventive maintenance by assignment.
  • Willing to accept other additional job duties from next level leader.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education:

· Required - High School Diploma or GED.

· Preferred - Certified Toolmaker or 5 years experience in Tool and Die field.

· Would be nice - Apprenticeship Program completion.

Experience and skill requirements:

· Minimum 3 years Tool and Die maker experience.

· Self-motivated, self-directed and able to make and meet specific goals in the Tooling Department.

· Willing to learn or possess computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD.

· Willing to learn simple electronics for sensor program assistance.

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English). For the Mexico division this is preferred, not required.

Must be able to work any shift (5% shift premium for off-shifts).

Training:

· TQPS Continuous Improvement training.

· Mistake Proofing Philosophy, Forklift Certification.

· Overhead Crane Certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

Plant: Experience in various types of manufacturing environments.

Travel: Minimal.
