Job summary

GE Appliances is seeking a Tool, Die & Mold Technician in Decatur, AL. This role involves maintaining and repairing dies and tooling to ensure quality production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s degree in Machine Technology, certification in welding, and at least 1 year of skilled-trade experience. Benefits include healthcare from day one and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of skilled-trade experience in welding, electrical, or hydraulics.
• Experience running mills, lathes, and precision surface grinders.
• Knowledge of valve gates and repair methods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair dies and other tooling to produce quality parts.
• Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance as required.

Skills

MIG, TIG, and SMAW welding certification

Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and prints

Experience in tool and die mold repair

Proficiency with powered-hand tools

Availability to work weekends and holidays

Education

Associate’s degree in Machine Technology – Tool & Die

Journeyman certification with at least 3 years of related experience

Tools

Forklift certification
