Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a Tool and Die Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, EDMs, and grinders, to produce die components and metal parts per blueprints and tooling instructions.

You will read drawings, determine tooling, plan sequences, and verify parts with gauges, calipers, and CMM. A strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork is required to maintain high-quality production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training with production processes, machines and tools.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams and use measuring devices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC tools per specifications.
• Analyze specifications and plan tooling and sequence of operations.
• Position and secure work pieces using clamps, vises, and fixtures.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut according to instructions.
• Inspect machined parts with gauges and CMM as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
