Chromalox, part of Electrical Thermal Solutions (ETS), is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate machines and machining centers to fabricate parts, assemble units, and apply shop mathematics. You will read blueprints, measure with precision tools, select fixtures and tools, monitor operations for out-of-tolerance conditions, and maintain a safe, clean, organized work area.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3-4 years of related experience; teamwork and commitment to quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3-4 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Strong math and measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and other devices.
• Attention to detail, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Verifies conformance of processes or work piece to specifications.
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measurements, including micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled and required for TPM. Works individually and as a team.
• Conducts tests and inspections of products, examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
• May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require.
• Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.
• Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
