Job summary

Wisconsin Stamping & Manufacturing is seeking a Tool Designer to design, diagnose and troubleshoot stamping dies, fixtures and tooling. The role emphasizes applying mechanical knowledge to reduce defects and maximize production yield.

Responsibilities include designing transfer and progressive dies, machine fixtures, and completing layouts from specifications, with a strong focus on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CAD experience required; Solidworks and Logopress desired.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Geometric tolerance (GD&T) knowledge and dimensional measurement precision.
• Experience with tool room equipment and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to plan, organize and complete work on a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design transfer and progressive stamping dies.
• Design machine fixtures and tooling.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot dies, fixtures and tooling.
• Prepare layouts and designs from data and specifications.
• Create detailed drawings for fixture and assembly components.
• Incorporate quality methods into work processes.
• Work independently with a strong team orientation.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
