Job summary

RTCA, a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer in Chatsworth, CA, is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant to manage tooling, gauges, fixtures, and consumables on site. You will maintain inventory accuracy, calibration schedules, and ERP data to support production readiness and quality.

The role emphasizes organization, proactive problem solving, and collaboration with machinists, engineers, and HR. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Chatsworth facility offering comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing tool room, tool crib, or CNC machining support role.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, gauges, fixturing, and machine tool components.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Comfortable reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of calibration systems, gauge tracking, and tool life management.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, issue, and track tooling, gauges, fixtures, and expendables.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, usage logs, and ERP updates.
• Organize the tool crib following 5S principles and dispose of damaged tooling.
• Procure tooling, equipment, and supplies; monitor stock levels and perform spot buys.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams on tool calibration and maintenance.
• Track shipments and update purchasing records.
