Job summary

APM Manufacturing is seeking a dependable Tool Crib Attendant to support our aerospace manufacturing operations in California. You will manage the tool crib, ensure accurate records, and provide timely access to tooling and supplies to machinists and production personnel to meet production schedules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in a tool crib or related environment, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a tool crib or related environment preferred.
• Knowledge of machining tools and terminology preferred.
• Familiarity with cutting tools and related tooling a plus.
• Ability to identify and track tools and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication with machinists and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to lift and move tooling and supplies safely.

Responsibilities

• Issue and receive tools, gauges, and shop supplies.
• Maintain records of issued, returned, transferred, and scrapped tools.
• Ensure identification and traceability of tooling and inspection equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and flag items needing replenishment.
• Perform routine counts and assist with cycle and annual inventories.
• Keep tool crib organized for easy access and proper storage.
• Inspect returned tools for condition and completeness.
• Separate worn/damaged tooling and coordinate replacement.
• Prepare tooling and supplies for upcoming jobs.
• Assist with locating tooling and shop supplies.
• Maintain tool life, usage, and inventory records.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Follow procedures and safety and aerospace quality requirements.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
