Job summary

Nextpower is hiring a Tool Applications Specialist to support testing, validation, and field deployments of new tools and fasteners. This role involves bench testing, FFF evaluations, and hands-on field support across multiple product evaluations.

Up to 50% travel to project sites is required, with emphasis on timely documentation and cross-team communication. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, organization, and the ability to manage several trials simultaneously, including on-site

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with mechanical, industrial, construction, manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports and maintain detailed records.
• Ability to train field personnel and communicate technical findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench testing and evaluation of new tools, fasteners, consumables, and related products.
• Conduce initial Fit, Form, and Function evaluations for field trial readiness.
• Create and maintain FFF documentation in Arena with test results, observations, photos, videos, and supporting docs.
• Support field trials by traveling to project sites and providing product training.
• Collect and document field trial data, tracking tool and fastener performance and service life.
• Maintain a weekly log of active field trials and report progress to leadership.
• Serve as technical contact between field teams and Tool leadership for trials.
• Travel to project sites to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Gather information for investigations when issues cannot be resolved onsite.
