Job summary

Nextpower in Fremont, CA is seeking a Product Applications Engineer - Tools to test, qualify, and validate tools, fasteners, and related installation equipment for Nextpower tracker products. You will build test setups, assess torque, fit, and field usability, and help ensure reliable field installations.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Field Applications, and Installation teams to identify risks, validate installation methods, and deliver customer-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product testing, mechanical systems, fastening systems, tool qualification, quality engineering, installation engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; interpret product notes and installation documentation.
• Experience with tool qualification, fastening systems, and field installation processes.

Responsibilities

• Qualify tools, fasteners, torque equipment, and installation hardware for Nextpower tracker products.
• Test and approve compatibility, access, torque performance, and field usability.
• Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and documentation for tool qualification.
• Coordinate with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Field Applications, and Installation teams.
