Job description

Location: 180th Fighter Wing, ANG CRF, Toledo, OH

Job Title: Tools and Parts Attendant

Task Description: The Tools and Parts Attendant receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, and equipment such as measuring devices in an industrial setting. Responsibilities include maintaining records of tool issuance and return, searching for lost tools, conducting periodic or perpetual inventories, unboxing and storing new equipment, visually inspecting tools for wear or defects, reporting damaged equipment, and applying preservatives or identification tags using appropriate tools.

Additional Qualifications:

• Ability to identify broken tooling or equipment and notify the site lead or COR upon discovery.

Task Requirements:

• Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of various tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of tool transactions and inventory.
• Inspect and store new equipment properly.
• Identify and report damaged or defective tools and equipment.
• Requisition materials and supplies through the military supply system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with aviation-specific tools, equipment, sets, kits, and outfits (SKO).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Availability to work 1st or 2nd shift as needed.
• Willingness to travel for detachment operations.
• Eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Ability to climb ladders and raised platforms.
• Competence in using hand and power tools.
• Dexterity to handle small parts.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage: $21.38

Additional benefits include health and welfare fringe benefits, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid holidays, and vacation after one year of service.

Employment Conditions:

Employment contingent upon proof of identity and eligibility, satisfactory background check, passing a drug test, obtaining necessary clearance, and company performance on the contract.
