Job description

Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. The Tools and Parts Attendant does the following:

  1. Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
  2. Searches for lost or misplaced tools.
  3. Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
  4. Unpacks and stores new equipment.
  5. Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
  6. Coats tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun.
  7. Attaches identification tags or engraves identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.

Additional Qualifications requirement:
Must be able to identify broken tooling or equipment and must notify site lead or COR upon discovery of the missing or broken item.

Shift: Day shift, Monday - Thursday (0645-1730)

Salary: $17.41

Additional: Health & Welfare rate of $4.60 for every hour worked that is used for medical expenses and any unused funds will roll over into your 401K.
