Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc in Washington, DC is looking for skilled individuals to engage in tool and die fabrication, including fabrication and repair, machine operation, and blueprint analysis. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience and proficiency in interpreting engineering specifications.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

• Fabrication & Repair: Construct, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very close tolerances.
• Machine Operation: Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to machine parts.
• Blueprint Analysis: Study specifications, engineering blueprints, and tool orders to plan work.
• Design & Layout: Draw preliminary sketches; prepare layout and detail drawings.
• Strategy Development: Develop efficient strategies for fabricating designed dies using the most suitable machining resources.
• Quality & Safety: Meet all quality and efficiency expectations while complying with safety regulations and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required:

• Education: Minimum 4 years of high school/vocational school; completion of an apprentice program is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in a tool and die environment.
• Language: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
