Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of experience in machining or a similar field.
• Ability to measure accurately with Vernier's and Micrometers.

• Responsible for the assembly of progressive dies and fixtures.
• Work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot tooling issues.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspect of build and final assembly of progressive dies and fixtures.
• Work with little to no supervision.
• Die maker must be able to operate all tool room equipment including CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot most tooling issues.
• Work in close tolerances +/- .0002
• Required to supervise subordinate level machinists on occasion.
• Identify opportunity to improve product and reduce cost.
• Run and set up CNC Mills and program basic work at machine.
• Knowledge and understanding of feed and speed required to cut various materials.
