Job summary

Bolsan is seeking a Tool and Die Maker in California, Missouri. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform set-ups and machine various components to support manufacturing product lines. Candidates must have a strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships, be able to read blueprints, and possess experience with measuring instruments. Job description

Under general supervision and according to established policy and procedures the tool and die maker is responsible for performing his/her own set-ups and machine/grind all necessary components required to complete assignments given to support all manufacturing product lines.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships.
• Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components.
• Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance.
• Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones and fixtures.
• Use shop math as required.
• Clean and maintain the work area.

Skills and Formal Training Requirements/Experience

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Use measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility.
