Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a senior civil engineer to lead and manage transportation design projects focused on Illinois Tollway assets. The role emphasizes program development, scope definition, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds a PE in Illinois, 10+ years of leadership experience in tollway/IDOT projects, and strong communication skills to guide complex design reviews and client meetings. This role is based in Illinois with onsite work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois.
• 10+ years of experience leading transportation infrastructure projects for the Illinois Tollway and IDOT.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop programs to support Illinois Tollway assets.
• Develop and manage scope for Systemwide design projects.
• Coordinate, prepare, and issue design scoping memorandums.
• Track project budgets, schedules, and contract deliverables.
• Participate in client and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets.
• Conduct and participate in design reviews for Systemwide contracts.
• Support Tollway Project Managers and Design Section Engineers (DSEs)
