Job summary

TransCore is seeking a Systems Specialist for our Northeast Toll Systems team in downtown New York. You will install, maintain, test, and configure tolling software systems and lane equipment, providing frontline support and training as needed.

The role requires strong technical foundations, with responsibility for monitoring requirements and mentoring junior staff, potentially on-call on evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical support or systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, with troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, and configure tolling software systems and lane equipment.
• Provide phone and email support for software or hardware issues.
• Train staff and interns on tolling software and hardware as needed.
• Document projects and maintain user instructions in a knowledge base.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex system hardware, software, and network issues.
