Job summary

Ferrovial Construction-Webber 285 JV seeks a Tolling, ITS, and Electrical Design Manager based in Atlanta, GA. You will lead tolling, ITS, and electrical design for a major transportation project, guiding a multidisciplinary team through design, coordination, reviews, and field feedback.

The role requires 10+ years of transport project experience, a PE license or eligibility, and strong knowledge of codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related engineering field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible design and coordination experience on complex transportation projects.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience with tolling, ITS, roadway lighting, power, communications on PPP or Design-Build projects; GDOT experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and transportation agency requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination, manage consultants and subcontractors, and support design through construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Bluebeam PDF, MicroStation, Procore; working knowledge of AGi32 and CAD/BIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead tolling, ITS, and electrical design workstreams and establish priorities, deliverables, responsibilities, and technical coordination requirements.
• Manage discipline design schedule, budget, resources, risks, interfaces, and subcontractor scopes.
• Oversee preparation and review of calculations, drawings, reports, specs, models, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, contract requirements, design criteria, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with Developer, GDOT, tolling system integrator, designers, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Lead or participate in technical meetings; document decisions and action items; resolve issues.
• Manage technical communications, submittals, RFIs, design changes, and construction-phase support.
• Identify risks and develop practical design/constructability solutions.
• Develop design optimizations while maintaining functional requirements and stakeholder acceptance.
• Coordinate field observations and incorporate feedback into design process.
• Monitor progress and quality; perform checks and resolve nonconformances.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Support procurement by defining technical scopes and reviewing proposals.
