Grow and Learn Preschool in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking caring teachers to create a warm, safe classroom where children feel valued and excited to learn. You will plan hands-on activities that support language, cognitive, social-emotional, and motor development.

This family-owned program offers a supportive team, regular training, and a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay starting at $15.50/hour, with opportunities to grow into a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months of preschool or licensed childcare experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred (18+ credits).
• Must obtain and maintain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must complete background checks and DES training.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable, passionate about working with young children; strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom where children feel valued and excited to learn.
• Plan and lead engaging hands-on lessons supporting language, cognitive, social-emotional and motor development.
• Teach foundational early learning skills (colors, shapes, letters, numbers, early literacy).
• Foster curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through play-based learning.
• Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring safety during activities, outdoor time, and snacks.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Maintain an organized, clean classroom environment promoting exploration and learning.
• Follow Arizona licensing regulations and Grow and Learn Preschool policies.

What You'll Do

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom where children feel valued and excited to learn.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands‑on lessons and activities that support children's language, cognitive, social‑emotional, and motor development.
• Teach foundational early learning skills, including colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and early literacy concepts.
• Foster children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through play‑based and teacher‑guided learning.
• Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety during classroom activities, outdoor play, and snack time.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
• Follow all Arizona state licensing regulations and Grow and Learn Preschool policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Director and teaching team to provide the highest quality care and education for every child.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 6 months of preschool or licensed childcare experience.
• High school diploma or GED required. Coursework in Early Childhood Education (18 credit hours or more) is preferred and may satisfy Arizona teacher qualifications.
• Must obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must successfully pass all required background checks.
• Must create an account with the Arizona Workforce Registry and complete all required Arizona DES training within the required timeframe.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Reliable, dependable, and passionate about working with young children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
